those working independently with supervisory responsibility within government departments at local, state or federal level. Ideal for those with a range of diverse responsibilities allowing a range of elective units to suit the specific needs of individuals.

| Entry Requirements: | Students need to be currently working in a public sector organisation in order to complete the required assessment tasks. No prior qualifications are necessary, although numeracy and literacy at a minimum Year 10 standard are required to demonstrate competencies. |

| Assessment: | The assessment is composed of work-based assignments and satisfactorily fulfilling the requirements of each competency. |
| Employability Skills: | Employability Skills for each qualification have been determined by the Department of Education, Employment and Workforce Relations (DEEWR). These are the recommended skills identified to gain employment, establish an enterprise, for career progression, to expand employment capability and to achieve individual potential and contribute to organisational strategic outcomes. Training Packages have been reviewed to ensure that Employability Skills feature in their units of competency. SKILLS OUTCOME
At the successful completion of this course students will be able to :
- Understand the values, principles, processes and legislation requirements within the public sector.
- Apply high level communication skills including an appreciation of diversity in the workplace.
- Research, evaluate and analyse data collected from various information systems.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
Given that some participants may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning assessment process is available to acknowledge skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
