Certificate IV Bridging Program


TRAINING SUITABILITY

Students enrolling in this pathway will be experienced in the delivery of training, but may be less experienced in the development of training programs and/or assessment in Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Candidature 9 months
Study Workload: 7-8 hours per week
Entry Requirements: Candidates who hold the Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ40198) may gain recognition for 5 units of competency in the 14 unit program and for 6 units of competency for holders of the Diploma of Training and Assessment Systems (BSZ50198). Candidates are required to provide evidence of currency for the relevant units of competency.

All inclusive fee: Comprehensive study package including course guide, study notes, online resources, activities, assessment tools plus full administrative and academic support modules
Assessment: Consists of a combination of activities, workplace projects and evidence to demonstrate competency. Students may be required to submit visual evidence of training sessions.

SKILLS OUTCOME

Candidates develop skills, techniques and knowledge in the following key areas:

  • Design and develop individual and group work based learning programs
  • Delivery and facilitation to support individual and group workplace learning
  • Lead and coordinate competency based assessment
  • Develop teams and individuals

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Given that some participants may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning assessment process is available to acknowledge skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
